Romsey travelled ‘up the road’ to Sherfield English for the annual Derby fixture. The weather was perfect and with conditions not too hot, we played 18 ends.

Romsey made a solid start in three of the four rinks played, with Sherfield playing catch up. David D, Geoff and Maurice rang the changes, opening a decisive lead early on and going on to win their rink with ease. Jean, Jenny M and Ted gave us a thrilling game with the scores equal with one end to play. Unfortunately, Romsey won the end by two.

A delicious tea was served and enjoyed by all. Thank you to Darryl, Jenny H and Tim for all their hard work.

 

 Final Result: Sherfield English 52 - 61 Romsey

 

Rink 1:    Lost 10 - 20    Even game after 9 ends.

Rink 2:    Lost 11 - 13     Entertaining right to the end

Rink 3:    Lost 10 - 19     Disappointing, always having to catch up

Rink 4:    Won 22 - 9       Super team performance.
