Mill Lane Meadows Dog Poo Problem!

Dog Poo Alert Poster, Mill Lane SANG, Sherfield English TVBC

White Flags indicating dog poo found at Mill Lane Meadows SANG, Sherfield English

‘Recently I (Gemma - Reserves Officer TVBC) was made aware by a couple of visitors of Mill Lane Meadows that there was an issue with the amount of dog poo being left on site. On a recent site visit, a count of 35 dog poos were recorded – for a small site (with two bins) this is a large an inexcusable amount.

I’ve flagged the offending areas, so on your next visit you will see the extent of the issue.

Please can we all pull together and raise awareness of this issue affecting your local nature reserve. If you see someone miss their dog having a poo, politely offer them a poo bag – let’s encourage positive change.

A big thank you to the many of you whom I know clear up after your dog(s) – when I visit the site I stop and talk to many of you, and you’re always so complimentary of the reserve (with poo bags in hand).

On a positive note: the hotspot for litter in the car park has not returned!’

Thank you
