Sherfield English entertained Alderbury in the first of a double header, the return match in a week’s time.

After rain on the previous day made playing conditions difficult, the sun shone and the green dried out to ensure a good game

Alderbury started off strongly and a determined effort by the home team nearly secured a victory. With the four rinks shared two each, the final result was on points scored:
