Bowls Club - May 2026

Spring has sprung and everyone is looking forward to the opening of our outdoor season. During the long winter months, members have enjoyed a variety of social events and maybe played the shorter indoor version of bowls. Our attention is now on paying members fees, recording dates of fixtures and events on calendars, in diaries and maybe on our phones! The bowling season gets underway in late April and goes through to late September. Itʼs a great way to meet new people, provides gentle exercise plus you get to enjoy the summer outdoors! We have twenty friendly matches throughout the season as well as our own internal competitions. We hope as many as possible will take part in the competitions, whether as part of a small team or, in the case of two competitions, a much larger team. Mixed Fours for ʻThe Hayter Trophyʼ takes place in May. All other competitions will be up and running by the beginning of June. We warmly welcome anyone who wishes to join in and give the game of bowls a go. Informal games are played Monday, Wednesday and Friday 2pm - 4pm. New for this season is a session on Friday evenings 6pm - 8pm. In the meantime…Keep on Bowling!
