SE Bowls Club Win - Match Report 10/05/26

Sherfield travelled to Twyford for their opening match of the season and, on a chilly afternoon for playing bowls, came away with a warm glow winning 52 - 40.

A convincing win in the Fours gave Sherfield a successful start.

The two remaining Triples matches were tighter games with both going into the final end with the outcome in doubt.

Sherfield took their opportunity in both matches and were victorious in all three rinks.

Twyford were generous with their hospitality and Sherfield look forward to hosting the reverse fixture in early June.

Final Results:

Rink 1:   Won 13 – 12          A close contest going through to the final end.

Rink 2:   Won 19 - 13           Comfortable win and never behind in the match.

Rink 3:   Won 20 - 15           Huge come back from the home team was not enough, Sherfield taking victory with 5 points on the last end.
