What a performance from the ladies!

Yesterday we played our first home game of the season and what a game it was!

We took the lead early on, but Solent equalised shortly after. The ladies kept pushing and were rewarded with another goal just before half time to go into the break 2–1 up.

We came out for the second half exactly how we started the first — wanting the ball, creating chances and putting pressure on Solent. We managed to find the net twice more, while Solent added another of their own to make it 4–2 at full time.

Playing with a bare 11 players and no substitutes, this was a huge effort from every single player. The ladies dug deep, battled until the final whistle and never let their heads drop. The determination, teamwork and belief to see the game out and secure all 3 points was brilliant to watch.
