SE Bowls Match Report 11-07-26

On a hot afternoon, Sherfield hosted Alresford Bowls Club hoping to continue their winning run. Alas, this wasn’t to be, with Alresford winning 2 of the 3 rinks and with a winning score of 38 - 34.

The match was shortened to 14 ends and with sunhats, sunblock and cold drinks everyone was prepared.

The match began with Sherfield leading on all rinks, but the tables were turned as Alresford found their rhythm.

Everyone enjoyed the afternoon and this was made complete with tea, sandwiches and cake courtesy of Jenny H and Darryl.

We look forward to our return fixture late July at Alresford.

Final Result:

Rink 2:       Won  12 - 8   An easy victory until a comeback late on.

Rink 3:       Lost  11 - 13   Lead changing hands throughout.

Rink 4:       Lost  11 - 17   After a good start, lead could not be maintained.
