SE Women's Football, close of pre-season campaign, 23-08-26

That brings our pre-season campaign to a close!

With a bare 11 and no substitutes, the ladies put in a fantastic shift against BTC Southampton. We played some really good football, had plenty of attacking play which led to us scoring which now brings our striker to 2 in 2. We showed some great spells of possession and teamwork throughout the game.

We probably would have held BTC at bay for a lot longer… had captain Lisi not kindly opened the scoring for them with an own goal

Jokes aside, the whole team put in a brilliant performance and there were plenty of positives to take from our final pre-season game.

Four games, plenty of minutes in the legs and lots learned along the way — we’re feeling confident and ready for the season to start in September!
