SE Bowls, Visit of Caroline Nokes, MP, 26-08-26
On 26th August Sherfield English Bowls Club welcomed local MP, Caroline Nokes to our hidden gem.
The rollup was well attended with 25 members, a great turnout!
Caroline was shown around the Clubhouse, asking questions about the Club and was well impressed with what we have achieved and continue to do.
Roy, as Chair, welcomed Caroline as we all gathered on the green. She was presented with a lapel badge and pen. Caroline promised it would be used when in the Chair in her role as Deputy Speaker at the House of Commons.
Caroline joined in a game of triples, had a basic crash course in how to bowl and gave it a go! Showing good line and improving on length with each wood, Caroline proudly won her match.
